Oby Ezekwesili, Joe Ajaero, FREE Nigeria Foundation, Others For May Day Power Surge
Top activists and civil organisations are set to converge in Abuja in celebration of the 2025 May Day with a call to action.
The Workers Day celebration which will be extraordinary is being spearheaded by coalition of civil society organizations.
Promoters said the May Day gathering is an opportunity to unleash the power surge of Nigeria's labourers.
Speakers include, Comrade Joe Ajaero President, Nigeria Labour Congress, Dr. Oby Ezekwesili, Public Policy Expert and Former Minister, Prince Adewole Adebayo, Legal Luminary and Political Leader and Comrade Obi Ene Human Rights Advocate.
Others are, Aisha Yesufu, Activist, Co-Founder of BBOG, Dr. Moses Paul, Youth and Civic Engagement Leader, Dike Chukwumerije, Thought Leader, Poet & Author, Dr. Segun Showunmi, Political Strategist and Analyst and Mrs Ndidi Mbagwu, Director of Finance in FREE Nigeria Foundation and National Treasurer of the Obidient Movement who is also part of organisers.
Also expected in attedance include, Dr. Tanko Yunusa, National Coordinator of Obidient Movement, Prof. Chris M. Nwaokobia Jnr, Convener of COUNTRYFIRST Movement, Alhaji lbrahim Abdulkarim DG, The Big Tenth while Abdulkass, Zaaka, Omoawe and Elizabeth KJ will perform.
The organizers said this is not a ceremony but a call to action, a national SOS.
It will hold on Friday, May 2, 2025 at Merit House, Maitama Abuja.
With power, purpose and patriotism as its core focus, they are calling on young people passionate about the country's progress to join in the dialogue.
