Davido, Cubana Chiefpriest pay courtesy visit to Akpabio in Abuja
Nigerian Afrobeats sensation David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, made headlines on Thursday following a courtesy visit to the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, at the National Assembly in Abuja.
The high-profile meeting, which quickly went viral across social media platforms, was graced by popular nightlife mogul Pascal Okechukwu, also known as Cubana Chiefpriest, who accompanied Davido.
In a video shared by Cubana Chiefpriest on Instagram, the Senate President is seen warmly welcoming his celebrity guests. Holding a document in hand, Akpabio addressed Davido and his team before pausing to take photographs with them in a moment that captured the intersection of entertainment and politics.
While the purpose of the visit was not officially disclosed, it appeared to be a social call aimed at fostering goodwill and strengthening ties between Nigeria’s political and entertainment spheres.
Accompanying the video post, Cubana Chiefpriest offered a motivational message to his followers, encouraging them to align themselves with people who mirror the aspirations they hold for the future.
“Try as much as possible to get close to people who look exactly like your future. Abuja nights with Naija 003. Person wey get OBO too get power,” he wrote, referencing Davido’s popular moniker “OBO” (Omo Baba Olowo) and suggesting the singer’s influence extends beyond music.
