Dr. Krystal Chanchangi Foundation, Ighalo Orphanage Home Hold Football Unity Charity Match in Abuja as Winner Grabs 1m

A non-governmental organisation, Dr. Krystal Chanchangi Foundation has successfully hosted a football tournament in Abuja, bringing vibrancy and excitement to the FIFA goal project at the 'B' section of the National Stadium in Abuja. 

The tournament was in conjunction with Ighalo Orphanage Home where Basic Maracana Football Club and Olympic Hybrid FC slugged it out. 

The elated Odion Jude Ighalo a Nigerian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Saudi Pro League club Al-Wehda stated - he is happy to collaborate with a "noble" Dr.Krystal Chanchangi foundation. He encouraged the players of both team and the youths at the event to never give up in chasing their dreams.

Basic Maracana Football Club and Olympic Hybrid FC gave a good account of themselves with superlative performances. 

The first half ended without a goal from either side, however, in the 70th minute of the second half, Christian Ewo scored with a thunderous shot that shook the net of the opponent to put Olympic Hybrid in front.

 Basic Maracana FC equalized in the 90th minute through a well constructed goal scored by Wisdom Martins which took the game to penalty shootouts. Two players of the Olympic Hybrid FC missed their two spot kicks while four players of the Basic maracana FC successfully converted theirs to win the game 4-2 on penalties.

The sum of one million naira (1,000,000) was awarded to the winners Basic maracana while the other team- Olympic Hybrid was compensated with the sum of two hundred thousand naira, (200,000).

The Convener, Dr. Krystal Chanchangi who was live at the event with her beautiful 'Star' daughter (Kleopatra Vargas) who was visiting Nigeria for the first time, said she feels fulfilled and always elated each time she empowers the youths.

"Thank you everyone for being here today, it's really an honor, I have been a Global Cultural Activist for over 9 years, this is not the first event we are hosting, we have hosted other sporting and non-sporting tournaments, including Volleyball, para-soccer, Basketball, Tennis, Kids Multicultural Fashion shows, academic competitions, and other fascinating and engaging competitions aimed at empowering the youths, less-privileged and talented individuals with exceptional ability, zeal and courage to achieve excellence even in the face of obstacles and inhibitions.
