Rivers State DECIDES: Local Government Elections Taking Place Today, August 30, 2025, Amid Emergency Rule

Five months ago, the Supreme Court firmly dismissed 23 local government chairmen serving under Sir Fubara’s administration, resulting in declaring a State of Emergency due to the ongoing political crisis.

Today, under the decisive leadership of the Sole Administrator, Rivers State is conducting local government elections that will establish new local government chairmen.
