AFAA 2025: Abuja to host Participants Across the Continent For Africa Fashion and Arts Conference and Awards

Published on

The road to AFAA 2025 has already gained momentum with the successful conclusion of a model casting, where emerging talents were selected to grace the runway in Abuja this December. These models will join leading African designers and cultural icons in showcasing the continent’s creativity.

The African Fashion and Arts Award (AFAA) is a premier platform dedicated to celebrating and promoting African creativity, culture, and innovation. Since its inception, AFAA has provided a stage for designers, artists, and thought leaders to connect with global audiences. Through initiatives like AFAC and the AFAA magazine, the movement continues to deliver on its mandate of positioning Africa as a global hub for creativity and cultural excellence.

AFAA 2025 and the newly introduced Africa Fashion and Arts Conference (AFAC) presents several participation opportunities now open to designers, exhibitors, sponsors, and partners seeking ideal visibility and to showcase their creativity, engage with global markets, and align with a movement that is redefining Africa’s place in the global creative economy.
Kingsley Amako, the Founder and CEO of AFAA, in several interviews has emphasized his core belief in collaborations as one of the vehicles through which Africa and Africans can thrive especially in the creative industries. For this reason, he extends an invitation to brands, businesses, and organisations open to sponsorship, and participation conversations to contact AFAA via the website www.afaawards.org and social media @afaawards and for every creative in Abuja Nigeria to prepare for AFAA 2025.

As the convener, Kingsley Amako shared that each AFAA edition leaves a mark beyond the runway. From cross-border business deals and export-ready collections to scholarships, and creative startup spotlights. AFAA has consistently delivered impact, citing the 2023 edition, where a 23-year-old Nigerian designer stunned audiences with a runway piece crafted from batik and recycled copper: a bold nod to heritage and climate resilience.

That single creation earned international invitations to exhibit on global platforms. Stories like this define AFAA’s spirit of creativity .
