It’s Time To Close Ranks, Unite for Victory — Hon. Aliyu Says After Securing APC Reps Ticket

Hon. Nazeef Babaji Aliyu Esq. has emerged as the flag bearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Shira/Giade Federal Constituency of Bauchi State, moving a step closer to his aspiration of representing his people at the House of Representatives.

In the direct primary election, he polled 14,022 votes to defeat his sole challenger, Hon. Kali Abubakar Fago, who secured 2,076 votes.

In his acceptance speech, Hon. Aliyu thanked the people of the constituency for their overwhelming support and confidence in him throughout the primary election process, stressing that the time has come to build bridges of unity ahead of the general election.

“Our focus now should be on peace, unity, and collective commitment so that the bigger victory ahead and the development of our constituency can be achieved.

“I urge all youths and the good people who supported me and worked tirelessly for the progress of Shira/Giade Federal Constituency to remain patient, united, and steadfast,” he said in a Hausa social media post.

Known for his intellectual depth as a legal practitioner, Hon. Aliyu is widely regarded as a grassroots politician with a strong record of bridging the gap between leadership and the common people through humanitarian and community-based interventions across the constituency and beyond.

Through empowerment programmes, strategic interventions in community security, and several welfare initiatives aimed at improving the lives of vulnerable people, he has earned the admiration and support of many constituents.

He also commended members of the APC for the peaceful and orderly conduct displayed throughout the primary election process, expressing confidence that his emergence would usher in a new era of effective and people-oriented representation for the Shira/Giade Federal Constituency.
