BAYELSA PDP CHAIRMAN GEORGE TURNAH ATTENDS BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION OF AMAYANABO OF ANCIENT OKOCHIRI KINGDOM


The Chairman of the Bayelsa State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), George Turnah, on Monday joined eminent traditional rulers, political leaders, and distinguished guests at the birthday celebration of the Amayanabo of Ancient Okochiri Kingdom, King Ateke Michael Tom.


The event, which attracted dignitaries from across the Niger Delta region and beyond, was held in honour of the revered monarch, who is widely recognized for his contributions to peacebuilding, community development, and the preservation of the cultural heritage of the Niger Delta.


Speaking during the celebration, Turnah congratulated King Ateke Tom on attaining another year, describing him as a respected traditional ruler whose leadership has positively impacted his kingdom and the wider Niger Delta region. He commended the monarch's commitment to fostering unity, peace, and development among the people.


The Bayelsa PDP chairman noted that the celebrant's influence transcends traditional boundaries, adding that his role in promoting dialogue and stability has earned him admiration from leaders and stakeholders across the region.


Turnah also prayed for God's continued blessings, good health, wisdom, and long life for the monarch as he continues to provide leadership to his people and contribute to the growth and development of the Niger Delta.


The birthday celebration featured cultural displays, goodwill messages, and the attendance of notable personalities from the political, traditional, business, and social spheres, who gathered to celebrate the life and accomplishments of the Okochiri monarch.


Guests at the occasion described King Ateke Tom as a symbol of resilience, courage, and service, while expressing appreciation for his contributions to peace and community advancement over the years.
