"These have really helped me to be what I have become and what I will be in the future. All that is out there is not necessarily about your 2.1, 2.2 or even first class grade. These are indications of your performance in class. While they are essential, they don't necessarily define your success in life. Your ability to demonstrate ruggedness in the competitive society is what eventually makes you", he stated.

The former presidential candidate and National Chairman of Accord Party who recalled attending school under a difficult condition called on the students to be resilient and surmount obstacles to achieve their full potentials in life.

He also unveiled a dedicated website for the students, after which he was presented with an award of recognition for his support for youth education by the Dean of Students Affairs, Prof Ajah Julius on behalf of the Vice Chancellor, Prof Hakeem Fawehinmi.
