Dyan Appointes Yakubu Philimon, San, As Legal Trustee And Patron

The National Headquarters of the Democratic Youth Assembly of Nigeria (DYAN) is pleased to announce the appointment of Yakubu Philemon, Senior Advocate of Nigeria as the Legal Trustee and Patron of the Assembly.

This appointment reflects DYAN’s commitment to strengthening its legal and institutional framework while advancing its vision of promoting justice, peace, security, democracy, good governance, and youth participation in nation-building.

Yakubu Philemon, SAN, is a distinguished legal practitioner whose outstanding contributions to the legal profession, unwavering commitment to the rule of law, and dedication to justice have earned him national recognition. His wealth of experience and exemplary leadership make him well-suited to support DYAN’s mission of building a more united, peaceful, secure, and democratic Nigeria.

Speaking on the appointment, the National Coordinator and Chairman of the National Executive Council (NEC), Amb. Bashir Nasiru Garki, described it as “a strategic step towards strengthening the Assembly’s commitment to justice, democratic values, and responsible youth leadership.”

The Democratic Youth Assembly of Nigeria warmly welcomes Yakubu Philemon, SAN, and looks forward to his valuable guidance and contributions as the Assembly continues to champion justice, peace, security, democracy, and national development.
