Global Achievers Awards 2026 Set To Celebrate Outstanding Nigerians In Abuja

Preparations have been concluded for the Global Achievers Award (GAA) 2026, a prestigious platform dedicated to recognising exceptional individuals whose leadership, innovation, philanthropy and service have made lasting contributions to national development. This year's edition, themed "Honouring Impact, Elevating the Future," will take place on Saturday, 1 August 2026, at the NAF Conference Centre, Abuja, beginning at 6.00 p.m.

The award ceremony, organised by Mojs Entertainment Limited in collaboration with the Yala Achievers and Development Initiative (YADI), is expected to attract eminent personalities from government, business, politics, diplomacy, entertainment and the private sector, providing a unique platform to celebrate excellence and inspire a new generation of leaders.

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), His Excellency Chief Barrister Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, CON, GSSRS, will attend the ceremony as the Special Guest of Honour and will be decorated with the prestigious Man of the Year Award in recognition of his exemplary leadership and impactful contributions to public service and national development.

Also to be honoured is the Senator representing Cross River North Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe, who will receive the Iconic Legislator of the Decade Award for his remarkable legislative accomplishments, effective representation and sustained commitment to the welfare and development of his constituents.

Former Minority Leader of the 9th Senate, Senator Philip Tanimu Aduda, MFR, CON, will serve as the Chairman of the Occasion, while the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Nimpat Group, Ambassador Dr Nimi Briggs, will be recognised as the Female Industrialist of the Year for her outstanding achievements in business, entrepreneurship and economic empowerment.

Speaking ahead of the event, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Yala Achievers and Development Initiative (YADI) and Mojs Entertainment Limited, Mr Jacob Odey, popularly known as "Odey the Uncommon Comedian," described the Global Achievers Award as a platform established to identify, celebrate and encourage individuals whose exceptional achievements continue to transform lives and contribute meaningfully to society.

According to him, "The Global Achievers Award is more than an award ceremony; it is a celebration of excellence, resilience and selfless service. He added that the awards would continue to uphold credibility, transparency and merit in selecting recipients from diverse sectors.
